CLUBS · ONLINE PAYMENT Each player pays their share, and the money goes to your account.
Updated on
In padel, a court is usually booked for four, and nobody really wants to pay for everyone else up front. With Palarena, each player pays their share online, from their phone.
For your club, the money goes straight to your Stripe account, under your cancellation rules, and your team can see on the schedule how much has been collected for each game.
Pay for your place, or pay for everyone
When booking, the organiser chooses to pay for their own place or for everyone. If they pay for their place, the court price is split between the players, and each one pays their share when joining the game through the link the organiser shares.
A place still free can be offered to other players by opening the game. Whoever joins pays their share at the same time.
Nothing is collected before the game starts
When the game is less than 96 hours away, a hold is placed on the player’s card at booking. For a game further ahead, the card is saved and the hold is placed 96 hours before. The amount is only collected when the slot starts.
A cancellation within the deadline simply releases the hold. Your club has no refund to process for a place booked weeks in advance.
For an open match, you also set a deadline between 2 and 12 hours before the start. If the game is not full and paid by then, it is cancelled automatically, nobody is charged and the slot is free again.
Your cancellation rules apply
You decide how many hours before the start a player can cancel free of charge. After that, the booking remains payable. Players see these terms before they pay, and a booking keeps the terms in force when it was made, even if you change them later.
Refunds due under your rules go out automatically. Your team can also refund a payment itself, and if you cancel a booking, the card holds are released and any amounts already collected are refunded with nothing more to do.
The money comes straight to you
Every payment is created directly on your club’s Stripe account. Your club is the seller of the booking, and the money never passes through a Palarena account.
Palarena takes no commission on the bookings, passes or memberships you sell, and charges your players no service fee. Stripe charges its own fees to your club, and your Finances area details your takings, refunds and those fees.
At the front desk too
On the schedule, each booking shows the amount collected out of the total. When a player pays on site, your team adds them to their place in the game and records the payment. Bookings taken at the desk or by phone appear on the same schedule as online ones.

What happens if a share is not paid?
For an open match, your rule applies. If it is not full and paid by the deadline, it is cancelled and nobody is charged. For a game among friends, the schedule shows how much has been collected out of the total, your team can collect a share on site, and the organiser can also pay for everyone when booking.
Does Palarena take a cut of the payments?
No. Payments are created on your club’s Stripe account, and Palarena takes no commission on the bookings, passes or memberships you sell. Only Stripe’s fees apply.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes. Stripe is the online payment provider that collects payments for your club. You connect your club’s Stripe account from your Palarena workspace, often approved within minutes, and your subscription only starts once that account is ready to take payments.
