Just moved to a new town, your usual group is busy, or you simply want players at your level? With Palarena, you find open matches near you and partners to play with.
It all happens on your phone, in the Palarena app or your club’s app, with the same account.
Start with your level
For each sport, a 7-question quiz gives you a first level in about 2 minutes. Torn between two answers? Pick the lower one. Your level then changes with the results of your competitive matches.
Your level shows on the games you join, and other players’ levels show on every open match. Before you sign up, you can see who you will be playing with.
Join an open match
In the Palarena app, you search around your town or your location, up to 50 km away. Each match shows the club, the date and time, the level of the players already in, the places left and the price per player.
In your club’s app, open matches also show on the slots, so you can see at a glance where a player is missing. When you join a match, your place is held for 10 minutes while you pay your share.
Missing a player?
Booked a court and still short of players? Open your game to everyone, with the level range you are looking for. If it is not full by the deadline the club sets, it is cancelled and nobody pays.
To play with friends, keep your game invitation-only and share the link with whoever you like.
You only pay your share
The court price is split between the players, and each one pays their own share. A hold is placed on your card in advance, but nothing is taken before the game starts, and if the club cancels, you pay nothing.
You can leave a game up until it starts. Cancelling is free up to the deadline set by the club, which you see before you pay.
Partners near you
In Partners, Palarena suggests players near you based on your level, your goals and the side you play on. You see their first name, photo, level and town, never their contact details.
You send them a request, and the chat opens as soon as it is accepted. A request with no answer expires after 72 hours, and you can block or report a player at any time.
You only appear in suggestions if you turn on Partners by entering your town, sport by sport, and you can step back whenever you like from “Profile visibility”. Only your town is shown.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download an app?
No. Palarena opens in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen to find it like an app. A version for the App Store is in preparation.
How do I find a padel partner at my level?
Take the level test, then turn on Partners by entering your town. Palarena suggests players near you and close to your level, and you can also join an open match set to your level range.
Do I pay for places that stay empty?
No. With split payment, you only pay your share, even if places are still free in the game.
Who can see my level?
Your level shows on the games you join, so everyone knows who they are playing with. Your surname never appears on open matches.
Do I need an account?
Yes, to book or join a game. You sign in with your email address and a code sent by email, or with Google, and the same account works at every Palarena club. You must be at least 18.
